Daniel Carlisle, Senior Associate
Daniel Carlisle is a Senior Associate at Weg and Myers, P.C., where he
maintains a complex caseload focused on insurance coverage and recovery
litigation. He handles all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling
through discovery, motion practice, and resolution by trial, settlement,
or appeal. Daniel works in coordination with partners on policy and contract
interpretation, coverage analysis, and case strategy, and regularly manages
outside and local counsel on matters pending in jurisdictions outside
New York. He supervises junior associates and law clerks, providing guidance
on research, drafting, and litigation strategy, and leads the firm's adoption
of modern legal technology to improve the efficiency and quality of the
litigation practice.
Daniel received his law degree in 2019 from Washington and Lee University
School of Law, where he represented incarcerated individuals before the
Virginia Parole Board and worked on executive clemency matters through
the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse. He began his legal career as
a prosecutor in the Bronx District Attorney's Office before transitioning
to civil litigation. Between his experience in criminal prosecution, public
interest advocacy, and complex civil litigation, Daniel brings significant
experience in both written and oral advocacy to every matter he handles.
