Maria B. Villavicencio, Associate

Maria B. Villavicencio joined the Weg & Myers team in January 2023. Prior to joining Weg & Myers, Maria B. Villavicencio practiced transactional and immigration law, specializing in removal defense and business-related matters. She also handled the incorporation and compliance of international businesses wanting to expand within the United States.

Maria received her Juris Doctor from the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil in Guayaquil. Ecuador, where she graduated with honors. Maria received her Master's of Laws (LL.M) in Maritime Law from the University of Miami School of Law where she was a member of the International Moot Court Program. While at University of Miami, she represented UM in the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot, earning one of the top 10 highest scores in the competition. Maria was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2022.
